Some things are more important

When God called me to have my daughter, He also weighed it on my heart to be at home for my child. I so want to be the perfect homemaker-spotless house, immaculate decor, baking cookies, cakes and doing mommy things. Needless to say, this does not happen when you and your husband work and have a 2.5 year old.
I was thinking tonight in my bible study about not being able to do all those things now and how I can do all those things when my daughter is in school and I have time. But then I realize that I want to cherish every minute I have with her now so the house can stay dirty. I would rather have today with her, and have a dirty house, than a clean house and a grown up little girl....Do you get my point? We are never promised tomorrow so cherish every minute you have. Plus, they grow up so quickly...

Repetition

"I want chocolate pudding!!" This was repeated a total of 30 times in a matter of 5 minutes. Even after explaining that she could have it for dessert after dinner. All I can do is laugh because even though she repeats it 30 times, I find myself repeating "after dinner" 30 times as well. What does that say about me?

What took me so long??

I can't believe that it has taken me so long to start blogging about my very active 30 month old daughter. She amazes me and frustrates me everyday. She is wonderful...I am blogging about her because I cant make this stuff up..

This past Thursday she fell off the couch and went head first into the coffee table. Long story short and two doctor's visits later-she has a blood blister that they were able to drain and a fractured nose..So Saturday she is on the bed with us hanging out and falls off the bed (luckily, nothing was hurt on her)...My husband and I laugh because we feel as if she needs to walk around in a full armor body suit..
She is dainty, petite and beautiful yet so clumsy. Plus, she loves to walk around pick her nose and pass gas..WOW-I love my toddler!!!!!
